The simple fact is you could well be as I get so many calls from people asking how to increase their brand awareness and the fact is that many times their web pages are incorrectly optimised. I could harp back to the good old days when you would always make sure that your HTML was written correctly and that you tagged all your images.
Here are a few quick pointers to get you on the right track:
- Open up your landing / home page now, before you do anything else. THINK LIKE YOUR CUSTOMER - what are they going to be typing into Google or any other search engine you care to mention to find you??
- Once you have thought of a few keywords write them down.
- Now on to keyword density and Web copy quantity. The search engines use the quantity of words and terms on a web page along with other text styles to ensure that the browser gets a web page that is correct for the search they have undertaken. This means that keyword orientated copy must be produced.
- Introduce the keywords from your list into your landing / home page about 3-4 times within the copy but make sure it makes sense!
Please be aware errors may easily be made by presuming that the overuse of a term in a page will get the site higher ranked. The content must read as a sentence and make sense to be work correctly. This ensures the search engines do not give the browsers a 'spam page'.

A great way to help optimize your website is knowing how people interact with it. What they like and don't like, how they navigate, etc.
I found a very cool and informative article about this issue. Check it out here:
